Learn the dying art of how to make caliche plaster
Hands on workshop scheduled for Saturday, October 28th, 9-4:00 pm
- Learn the lost art of making plaster from cactus juice, sand and ground limestone from one of the few experts left in this field.
- Hands on practice in preparing the cactus, mixing the ingredients, and finding that perfect consistency;
- Enrollment is limited to only 25 participants, so there will be lots of time for individual instruction;
- Lunch is included in cost, made from all organic meats, vegetables, breads and ingredients;
- Workshop will include discussion of the history of this lost art and its application here in regional SW Texas.
